Ryan Smith is a New York City-based writer and photographer focusing on the food and beverage, travel, men's fashion and lifestyle spaces. He has spent nearly a decade working alongside many of the city's top chefs and bartenders, allowing for a unique perspective on the food scene in New York and beyond.

Originally from Texas, Ryan moved to New York in 2007 to pursue a career in writing. When not writing, Ryan enjoys running, boxing, watching soccer with friends, playing video games, and films—especially horror and B-movies.
Ryan has lived all over the city, from the East Village to Bushwick to the Bronx, and has now settled in downtown Brooklyn with his wife, Laura, and two dogs, Iggy and Kate.
